Our Nursery specialises in Native Plants that are mainly indigenous to the SE Queensland Region, although we do propagate some popular Native Plants that are indigenous to North Queensland and Northern NSW.
The majority of our stock is sold in standard Forestry Tubes and from the 4 January 2022 our prices are:
$2.25 ea for 1-49 plants
$1.95 ea for 50-99 plants
$1.70 each for 100 + plants
(all prices are GST inclusive)
**Some larger stock is also available and is individually priced, as are rare and / or difficult Plants to propagate**
We sell plants for your Home, your Acreage or your Development Project and have even lower prices for wholesale orders

Our Team
​
The Nursery is operated by Volunteers with a passion for Native Plants and helping people to choose the right plant for their property.
The volunteers are supported by trained Horticultural Staff who co-ordinate their activities.
Our Plants
While our Customers may not be sure which plants they want, they do know how much area they can plant / revegetate.
Our labels are colour coded by height, so our Customers only have to look for
Yellow labels - Groundcovers,
Orange labels - Trees / Shrubs to 6 Metres,
Green labels - Trees to 15 Metres or
White labels - Trees over 15 Metres.

Our "Bible"
Mangroves to Mountains is our "Bible" for use in the Nursery.
It is a 576 page full colour guide to 2450 species of flora of the Moreton Bay and nearby regions, fully illustrated with excellent photos to help us and you identify the plants that we stock.
Copies are available from the Nursery for $80.00 (including GST).
Our History
​
The Pine Rivers Community Nursery was a joint venture between the Bunya Community Association Inc., Grovely Campus Association of Students and the then Pine Rivers Shire Council (now Moreton Bay Regional Council).
The Nursery was established in 1998 and is situated on the site of the former Bunya Wildlife Park.
Included in our videos that the the Environmental Centre has running are some showing Steve Irwin catching the animals and transferring them to Australia Zoo. (voiceover in German) and Children's Pixar Films
