Kumbartcho Sanctuary School Program for 2007

  • Creating Wildlife Friendly Gardens Using Native Plants
Don’t miss out on this great opportunity for your school in 2007. Pine Rivers Schools are invited to send students for a two and a half hour workshop to show them how to create a Wildlife Friendly Garden using Native Plants in the grounds of their school. Schools can choose the type of garden they wish to create and they include:
  • Creating a Butterfly Friendly Garden
  • Creating a Rainforest Garden
  • Creating a Frog Friendly Garden
  • Creating a Bushtucker Garden
  • Creating a Koala, Possum and Glider Friendly Garden
  • Creating a Bird Friendly Garden

As part of the program Kumbartcho Sanctuary Environmental Education Centre will pay for the bus transport for the children and give them 100 plants to get their garden going. Schools are asked to make a gold coin donation per student to assist the Sanctuary in its ongoing environmental work.

Sessions for the workshops can be booked for terms 2,3 and 4 in 2007. The number of sessions available is limited so contact Kumbartcho early to express your interest and secure your place. Bookings can be made by contacting Kim Pantano at kimp@kumbartcho.org.au or on 0417-627 039(M)
